Why is stainless steel magnetic

Answer:
304 stainless steel is Austenitic stainless steel,Part of austenite is
converted to martensite during forging and cold working,Martensite is
magnetic,So 304 stainless steel is generally non-magnetic or weak
magnetic,At the beginning, the raw material 304 bars from the steel mill
were all with normal lattice inside.So the 304 bar itself is
non-magnetic at first,But because the stainless steel bar is melted by
high temperature,Later after high temperature forging, cutting and
processing,It will distort and change the crystal lattice inside 304
material, resulting in weak magnetism.


How to identify the real 304 stainless steel

Taper thread, will be more and more tight when rotating, tight with sealing, 
need to use raw material belt and other sealing materials, for high 
pressure pipeline

Cylindrical thread, no taper, more relaxed when rotating, the connection
 is not sealed, need to use sealing gasket to complete tight, for low 
pressure pipeline

How to measure thread correctly

Answer:
1. Support the use of 304 stainless steel potion detection

2. Support chemical composition analysis spectrometer

Usually thread standards are NPT,BSP, Metric.Some threads are
non-standard and the standards of each thread cannot be used with each
